Review of Three Great Hubs on Plus Size Evening Dresses

I have developed a strong interest in researching the plus size niche in the women's apparel business. The more you get involved in a business the more you are able to see the trees despite the forest.  One thing that I have come to learn and appreciate is the need for plus size women's clothing and footwear.  So I eagerly devour new information on how this niche behaves. 

It is only natural that my search should take me right back here to hubpages in order to see what my colleague writers have posted. This article is a review of three hubs on plus size evening dresses.

1. Habee's Great Hub on Formal Gowns

Habee, a plus size woman herself, is a retired literature teacher and successful freelancer who writes from Georgia. Her hub is Plus size Formal Gowns for Prom and Evening.

She describes the frustration of shopping for plus size evening wear in stores:

This hub is evidently a product hub aimed at Amazon line of plus size fashion. Habee has set out to write a hub based on long tailed keywords for the "plus size" niche. I would say she has hit the spot and offers a positive note for the plus size buyer who has met similar frustrations which she successfully overcame with online shopping for plus size evening dresses.


2. Hairupdostyles Writes About Plus Size Evening and Formal Dresses

The second hub I wish to review is authored by Hairupdostyles. What a name. A self-confessed fashion, hair style and celebrity junkie, she has moved on from a job as a fashion editor to become a freelance beauty and fashion writer.

Like Habee she saunters into her piece on Plus Size Evening and Formal Dresses with a complaint about the skinny clothing on offer in the malls, then points her readers to the online shopping solution for plus size women.

Hairupdostyles is also writing a product hub targeted for Amazon. She takes the time to link three other suppliers. Very generous of her since I don't think she earns from those three sites. Useful tips are offered on how to select the best cut and length when buying evening and formal dress for the plus size woman.

She offers expert discussion on clutches, body shapers, and hair updo.

(Hey, hold on. What is hair updo? New word for me. Is it same as hairdo? Okay, a hair updo is an upswept hairdo). OK Back to review!



3. Farming Similes From Plus Size Fashion Diva

"Style is a state of mind not a state of body" says Plus Size Fashion Diva who writes mainly on fashion for plus size women. I learned a lot from her hub Plus Size Cocktail Dresses That Fit Your Body Type.

She uses a scheme which distinguishes five body types:

  1. Rectangles
  2. Apples
  3. Triangles
  4. Hourglasses
  5. Pears

This well illustrated hub offers a body type quiz to help the plus size woman, and also features a link to the writer's website.
