Strange Dog in Human Form: Myth or Fact
Why do people still believe in these bizarre stories? I guess it must be the fascination with the weird and the wonderful. Science has taught us that some mutation, some unlikely freak of nature will pop up now and again. But not in this case. Read on, my friend, for the story below is clearly a hoax.
Notice how they pick on Africa, particularly Nigeria, whenever they want a new internet hoax or just to revive an old one. So I found this in my inbox:

Strange dog in human form
Residents of Badagry in the Badagry Local Government area of Lagos state of Nigeria woke up this morning to a strange discovery- a dog with a human body, tending its poppies (three in number). The puppies were also in human form.
A Badagry local hunter, Mr Ahutoyi who had gone on a hunting expedition overnight was arriving from his adventure when he bumped into the strange creatures in thick forest in the town’s suburb where he made the discovery. He promptly alerted the local residents.
Ahutoyi was amazed as he claimed the strange discovery was his worse sight in his 25 years of hunting expedition and claimed that he roared in a loud voice on the discovery. His courage as a hunter however emboldened him to approach the creatures. He quickly ran into the near suburb to alert residents to the thick forest where the strange discovery had been made.
A group of youth however on arrival at the scene of the animals removed them and took them to a local church in Badagry where indigenes of the city now troop in hundreds to catch a glimpse of the bizarre creatures.
The news having spread to Lagos and Benin Republic had attracted visitors in large numbers to the church where they (the dogs) are being taken care of.
However, reports claimed Police and investigating authorities have been alerted while the creatures are still being viewed by residents of Lagos state and Benin Republic indigenes.
Hoax
The report was credited to one Paul Oloyede, and it really got me thinking. I am not a fan of supermarket tabloids so I began looking for logical explanations.
Two things came to mind: genetic engineering and bestiality. Then I thought that bestiality would not produce offspring so could the answer possibly lie in the realm of genetic engineering?
I mean, a third reason kept hammering at my mind but would God need to permit this freak of nature as a sign of His coming?
Them humanlike limbs looked bizarre indeed so I decided to conduct a little search. Within seconds I discovered that it was all a hoax.
According to this link to the right the thing is a sculpture by an artist and has been making rounds on internet for some time.
